We have just recently won Aesthetic Training Academy 2024 at the Scottish Aesthetic awards 2024. The competition was tough involving the most prestigious training academies in Scotland. We were overwhelmed when the winners were announced. Our training academy is led by our training providers, Lorraine Bowman and Hayley Mc Donald. Lorraine has been an aesthetics practitioner for 20 years and an aesthetic trainer for 15 years. Lorraine is a previous nurse, midwife and lecturer. Hayley`s previous experience is in ENT, max fax facial surgery and community nursing. Hayley has been an aesthetic practitioner for 10 years and a trainer for 8 years. Lorraine is the founder of LAB and has trained over 2000 doctors, nurses and dentists throughout her aesthetic teaching career. She has sub contracted to many training academies in Scotland, Manchester, Newcastle and London. She now just concentrates on her own training academy in Scotland. Lorraine and Hayley also run a busy successful aesthetic clinic. There is nothing in the aesthetic world that they don’t know!! Why choose to train with us ? Lorraine is dedicated to teaching and has a passion for medical aesthetics. As a previous lecturer for 10 years she has an insight into how students learn. Lorraine develops all the teaching material for our courses and is constantly changing content to suit students learning needs and the ever evolving world of aesthetics. You will be given access to our online learning platform where you will work through modules before embarking on your practical training.

Key Information

What

Our practical training is in small groups of 2 or 3. You will have the opportunity to bring your own models or we can provide models for you. You will fully treat your models with toxin and filler. You will not “share” models. Our courses are open to all medical professionals.

Who

After you have completed your training you will be given the opportunity to rent our HIS registered rooms and gain access to our prescribing services. This will be fully explained on your training day

Opportunities

We do offer further mentoring, in addition to your practical sessions. If this is something you would be interested in we can discuss this after your initial training. Once you have completed your foundation training and gained some experience in aesthetics, we offer a variety of advanced training courses. We also offer a 1 to 1 bespoke training service and further mentoring services should you require this. Further Info

If you decide to book a place on our course, we will send you our teaching material prior to the course to help prepare you for the theory day and prior to your practical training sessions where you will administer wrinkle and filler treatments.

Legislation which has been passed by the GMC which states a prescriber must be present on the first consultation, therefore if you are a non-independent prescriber you can carry out the consultation. If you are not a prescriber you will need a doctor or nurse prescriber. We can provide this service for you.

Our training in offered in small numbers, in a friendly and relaxed environment. On completion of our course you will have gained enough knowledge and confidence to begin your aesthetic journey. You will also have access to ongoing professional advice.
